The emerging specialist field of turnaround management – saving companies in distress – is recognised with the Turnaround Management Association Program, comprising three Executive Certificate courses presented by the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) in collaboration with the Turnaround Management Association, Australia (TMAA).

The Turnaround Management Association Program (TMAP) focuses on the key skills areas for restoring value to struggling enterprises and to avoid terminal insolvency. Program participants will develop skills in leadership, legal and accounting aspects for turnaround situations. Each of the three Executive Certificate courses: “Strategic Turnaround Management”, “Law for Turnaround” and “Accounting for Turnaround”, have been developed collaboratively by UTS academics and key TMAA member practitioners. Successful completion will attract subject credits in the UTS MBA program.

Professor Peter Wells PhD FCA 

Peter has had over 25 years teaching accounting at UTS at both the undergraduate and postgraduate level, from introductory courses to advanced level courses. He is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and since 2010 has a continuing involvement with the Turnaround Managers Association through his development and delivery of the Accounting Module in the CTP program
