The Certificate in Event Management has been designed to provide a foundation of key skills and knowledge associated with the creation and delivery of various types of events. The course content is based on the results of an extensive survey of Australian event management professionals. In just four days of practical training, students and event professionals will develop a firm basis in theory and case studies, matched with valuable insights from successful industry professionals.

The Executive Certificate in Event Management is ideal if you are already employed in the event management industry, and are seeking to further develop your skill and knowledge base or looking to enter the event management industry and are seeking to acquire a sound understanding of best practice in the field.

There are no prerequisites for entry, however, students should have well developed spoken and written English language skills.

Rob has an international reputation as an event management educator having developed and delivered programs through to Masters level in a variety of locations around the world. Rob is a co-author of the texts Festival and Special Event Management, Event Management and the Regional Event Management Handbook. He is also serves as a judge for the Australian Event Awards and acts as an assessor for regional event grants for several state governments.

Director, Event Projects

Meg is a Director of Event Projects, a premium events agency, specialling in on-brand event experiences with bespoke appeal - everything from large scale visual spectaculars to highly stylised and intimate dinners. Over the course of her 20-year career in events management and production, Meg has produced events that include Super Bowl Super Swimsuit Parties, Sports Illustrated Olympic Hospitality Lounges and Olympic parties attended by more than 3500 celebrities, royalty and medal-winning athletes at four consecutive Olympic Games.

Operations Director, Brand Events Australia

Jade is a Sydney-based event creator, producer and consultant with extensive experience across a broad range of event genres including festivals, corporate events, gala dinners, major awards ceremonies and community events. For the past four years Jade has held the role of Operations Director for IMG Culinary, delivering nationwide festivals including Taste of Sydney, Taste of Melbourne, Taste of Perth and Margaret River Gourmet Escape.

In 4 days of practical training, you’ll cover the event management life cycle from concept, planning, initiation and implementation through to wrap-up and evaluation. Also, group activities and informal sessions give students the opportunity to network with professionals.
